Episode 2
In the second episode of The Soul of Makhanda host Jason Maseko speaks to Dominic Thorburn, Professor of Printmedia at Rhodes University and Rhodes University Masters student and artistic performer Ashwin May about the underlying politics of art and how they have used their own artwork as political tools; and their interpretations of the political statements and messages of other artists’ work in Makhanda.

In episode 3 of The Soul of Makhanda host Jason Maseko speaks to young aspiring artists Ayanda Maseko, a current Rhodes University Fine Art student and co-founder of Makhanda instagram magazine Abantu, and Zuko Yaka, a current Rhodes University student and talented saxophonist. In this week's episode we shall be discussing the social aspects of art and the engagement dynamics within art. Be ready for an interesting listen to artistically enrich the body, mind and soul!

In the fourth and final episode of The Soul of Makhanda flamboyant and ambitious host Jason Maseko speaks to well-known local rapper Botlhale Modisaotsile, better known by his stage name Mperuh Morepha, that which he exclusively decodes for us in this thrilling episode. We also introduce lovely and breath-taking debut female singer and rapper Nandipha Nkonyane into studio to share with us more on her expertise and experience. This episode focuses broadly on how artists incorporate their cultures and other cultures in their artistry, including how this tends to impact their audience.
